Following a bomb threat that shut down all of the Los Angeles Unified School District on Tuesday the 15th, Law Enforcement officials conducted a sweep of the schools, investigated the threat, and have found nothing credible. Schools were reopened the following day, and security has been elevated as a precaution. Thankfully, the bomb threat turned out to be nothing, but security must be increased in the meantime. This scenario serves as yet another example of the importance of security professionals, and that there cannot be a lapse in surveillance, attention to detail, and professionalism.
